Reaper is scheduled to depart Rosyth dockyard on 4 July 2019 at 10.30 BST, smack on LW. She is planned to travel at 9kts against the rising tide to arrive at Anstruther at 14.30, meeting up with a flotilla of East Neuk vessels off Fife Ness for a grand entry to her home port.of Anstruther. An accompanying escort of 2 power vessels will travel with her all the way. Her intended passage route is down the main shipping channel, south of Inchcolm, north of Inchkeith.
Some of the Forth recreational sailing fraternity may wish to salute Reaper as she passes through their home waters but please allow her little convoy safe sea room.
Due to the tide and wx forecast., I am proposing to overnight in Port Edgar on Wednesday and chase her eastwards as far as Aberdour which will be tidally accessible by 14.00 – an ideal short cruise for Markate or most other small cruisers from the mid-Forth clubs. Will I see you on the water?
