We are splitting our weekend into 2 one day events this year.
Saturday 31st August is our yacht regatta, round the buoys type racing, short courses, lots of crack! This event is part of the FYCA Forth Series – Division 2 this year.
Hopefully followed by a BBQ in the blazing sunshine and a night’s entertainment. With thanks to East Lothian Council, berthing is free of charge for competitors.
Sunday 1st Sept is our dinghy regatta, we run a PY mixed class at Fisherrow with one of every class, a few RS 200s, L2000s, Fevas and lots of lasers.
Alongside our regular racers, we are focussed on trying to include as many of our newer sailors as possible for their first regatta experience. Therefore, we are running a Greenhorn fleet within the class aimed at new sailors, if your club has anyone looking to try travelling to a regatta for the first time – we may be the ideal first step. We had 20 dinghies on the line last year, hoping to build on that this year.
