Please see Page 17 of the Times, Wednesday 1 August 2018, “River port plan could see millions flow in”.

Work has begun on a 35m pontoon for completion by the end of September. It is intended for trip boats but presumably will be available to leisure craft at other times.

Besides the tidal rise and fall advantage of berthing on a pontoon, it will keep craft away from debris at the foot of the wall.

Landing will also be easier as at present there is no ladder / walkway.

As of 7th August, it has been noted that GSS is on site.
