The Forth Yacht Clubs Association, in partnership with renowned nautical publisher Imray, is seeking a passionate sailor to help update the hugely successful East Coast of Scotland Sailing Directions.
Covering the entire stretch from Berwick-upon-Tweed to Duncansby Head at John o’ Groats, this guide has quickly become an essential companion for local skippers and visiting yachts from across Europe and beyond since its first publication in 2023.
We’re looking for someone who:
- Loves sailing in Scotland and knows the coastline or is eager to explore it.
- Can gather and verify up‑to‑date information on harbours, anchorages, and local facilities.
- Has basic computer skills (helpful, but not essential).
- Enjoys working independently and shaping their own approach.
How you take on the role is entirely up to you. You might prefer to work from home, drawing on our existing network of local sailors, harbourmasters, and clubs — or you might relish the idea of touring the coastline yourself by land or sea, discovering the dramatic geography and vibrant communities that make the east coast so special.
