Forth & Clyde re-opening Canal Carnival Flotilla registration contact is robinhedf@hotmail.co.uk with whom everyone must register by the end of March to ensure a place.
Numbers are restricted by the ability of the canal to pass the flotilla through the 4 sets of locks between the Falkirk Wheel and Auchinstarry – it takes 240 tonnes of water for each locking – and the available places are filling up already. Your early notification of intent would assure a place.
The date is : F&C Canal Carnival re-opening flotilla 24-26 May 2019. Should be a good sociable and historic weekend, in great company , leading on to a revival of activity on the Scottish canals.
